Advanced Firefighting
Our 32-hour Advanced Firefighting course is USCG and STCW approved. In this class you will learn the following:
- Advanced firefighting tactics and strategies
- Ventilation
- Large hose line handling
- Multiple-story firefighting
- Search and rescue
- Confined space rescue
The live fire training portion of this course is conducted near our Edmonds facility. You get excellent hands-on training extinguishing Class A and Class B fires in realistic environments. Our instructors are firefighters with years of maritime experience.
What to bring
You need some basic items to be prepared for this course. For firefighting, we recommend levis/sweatpants and a t-shirt to wear under the bunker gear. Synthetic clothing, tank tops, and shorts are not recommended. A change of clothes is also recommended. A tight seal on the face mask is a must and a requirement for participation. Bring a sack lunch and water.
